10Pearls Wins Best Tech Work Culture in Washington, DC – 2020 Timmy Awards
We are proud to announce that Tech in Motion has named 10Pearls as winner of the Best Tech Work Culture in Washington DC. The selection was made following tens of thousands of collective votes by the local tech community. As DC’s Best Tech Work Culture, 10Pearls will join 10 other Regional Winners to compete for the National Timmy Award honors, announced at the virtual Timmy Awards Ceremony on Oct. 29.
Tech in Motion™ is a North American event series that started with the goal of bringing local tech communities together to connect, learn, and innovate. Founded in 2011, the company has grown into an international event series where thought leaders come together, share ideas, and inspire one another.
What makes an exceptional work culture? According to Tech in Motion’s description,

Prioritizing Culture for 16 years
10Pearls CEO, Imran Aftab, co-founded 10Pearls in 2004 because he knew that culture was a key to building high-performance development teams. Prior to founding 10Pearls, Aftab managed a $150 million outsourcing program for AOL/Time Warner. When asked about the award, Aftab responded,
“At AOL, I worked with hundreds of outsourced development companies. At that time, I recognized that Culture was the big differentiator between the mediocre development vendors and the few excellent partners with whom we worked. The few excellent companies had engaged employees. So, when I decided to build a better company, I focused on building a culture of engaged team members dedicated to delight our client partners.”
This Timmy award validates that our founders are succeeding in our mission. We attribute all the recognition we have received from industry gurus like Forester and Clutch as proof that Culture Matters and that our efforts are working.
